After blockbuster Bommarillu, Bhaskar’s Parugu tries to convey message to the parents and their children. Bhasker succeded upto some extent, but he couldn’t maintain tempo through out the movie. Once again Bhaskar gave decent movie. But this movie will not appeal to youth.
Glance
Parugu is a movie about a father and his dauhters. Movie starts with Prakash Raj (father) elder daughter elopes with his boyfriend and rest of the story is how Prakash Raj searches for his eloped daughter. In the process of this search he came to know about friends of his daughter’s boyfriend. Krishna (Allu Arjun) is one among them, who actually sketches the plan. Prakash Raj gang gets custody of Allu Arjun and friends (Sunil, Chitram Srinu, Srinivas Reddy ) and tries to find out, where his daughter is. Meanwhile Allu Arjun falls in love with another girl (Poonam Bajwa), second daughter of Prakash Raj. In the climax Prakash Raj realizes that as a father he can fullfill everything they want, but the real happiness comes to them, with the person they want to live. He gives his second daughter hand to Allu Arjun and movie completes. Sometimes audience can feel, Prakash Raj as main lead of the movie.
Performances:
Prakash Raj as a father once again proved as great actor. Allu Arjun excelled in his role.
All other actors performed well as per their role.
New comedian (Bhaskar’s assitant) is good.
Good:
Hero introduction scene and song. All songs in the movie are situational, and they are good.
A scene where hero telling heroin about his love.
Comedy of the movie is good. In the second half comedy portion is very less.
Bad:
Background score of the movie is very bad. One can say because of background score only, movie lost its tempo.
Summary:
Parugu is an average flick. Success of the movie will depend upon how family audience (esecially fathers) receive sentiment scences in the movie. Especially the scence where Prakash Raj tells, how responsible fathers are in their children’s life.
